Uganda Airlines To Start Non-stop Mumbai Flights | Mumbai News – Times of India



MUMBAI: Uganda Airlines will debut its India operations this week with non-stop flights between Mumbai and Entebbe from October 7.
The five-and-a-half hour flight UR 430/431 will be operated thrice a week with an A330-800 neo aircraft, said the airline in a press meet on Tuesday.
In the past few years, air connectivity between Mumbai and the African continent has improved and currently about 60 weekly flights fly from Mumbai to cities such as Kigali, Dar es Salaam, Cairo, Addis Ababa, Mauritius, Seychelles and Lagos. tnn

This launch is part of Air India’s commitment to expanding connectivity and enhancing frequency on domestic and international routes. Bookings for the flights are already open.
Heavy rains at Mumbai airport lead to temporary suspension of flight operations
Heavy rains in Mumbai briefly suspended flight operations at the city’s airport. Visibility issues led to a temporary halt in flight operations for eight minutes, during which two flights had to carry out a missed approach and attempt a second landing. Departures were delayed by an average of 30 minutes, while arrivals were only delayed by five minutes.
