India are Australia are set to play one final ODI match ahead of ODI World Cup 2023. This will be the final dress rehearsal for both teams who will once again meet for their opening fixture of the premier ICC tournament on October 8.
India are already 2-0 up ahead in the 3-match series and are going into the World Cup as the No.1 team in all formats of the game. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are returning after their short break and would look to make it 3-0 against Australia in the bilateral series.
If Australia lose the match, this will be their 5th straight ODI loss (2 vs SA and 3 vs IND). Pat Cummins will hope that Mitchell Starc can give them a win ahead of the World Cup so that the team takes some momentum into the world tournament.
India captain Rohit Sharma said that multiple Indian players are not available either due to injuries or personal reasons. Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur, and Axar Patel will not be available for selection and India will be picking from 13 members for their match in Rajkot.
For Australia, Starc will surely return to the line-up and Glenn Maxwell will be up for selection in the side.
