The shooting team has now won their sixth medal and got closer to their tally of nine medals that they won in Jakarta back in 2018.

India finished with 1764 points, nine points behind top-placed China. The Indian trio racked up 292 and 290 points in kneeling, 297 and 300 points in prone and 292 and 293 points in standing.

Chouksey also made her way through to the individual final after finishing sixth with a total of 590 points. Kaushik had a rough day in the individual round after she ended with 580 points and finished 18th.

In the women’s 25m rapid-fire pistol, India won the gold medal. India’s Esha Singh, Manu Bhaker and Rhythm Sangwan finished with 1759 points, three more than China.

Bhaker also topped the qualification round with 590 points. Esha and Sangwan will also also be a part of the final with 586 and 583 points respectively.
