The man also advised wearing a glucose tracker.
Robert Hester said that ‘zone 2 running’, low sugar consumption, cold showers and supplements lower your age by a few years.
Ageing is a natural process but none of us wants to look old even when we are entering our 60s and 70s. People follow a strict diet routine and healthy lifestyle and also rely upon several medical treatments to look young. One such fitness freak has been making headlines for his determination and efforts to look young. Not only this, his efforts seem to have come to fruition at the age of 29 as the man looks as young as an 18-year-old boy.
Robert Hester, 29, from London, has left everyone wondering if it is really possible to reverse your biological age and look 18 when you are 29. He not only proved the same by showcasing his transformation but also shared the four simple tips to turn back time on your body.
Robert shared a TikTok video in which he shared some simple tips to look young. He explained, “Even if you do not run or you don’t call yourself a gym person, you need to do zone two running because you as a human need underlying health vitals.” He added that ‘zone 2 running’, lowering sugar consumption, cold showers and supplements are the proven methods to lower your age by a few years.
Zone 2 running, in simple terms, is jogging at a pace to keep your heart rate between 60 and 70 per cent of your maximum heart rate. The maximum heart rate is 220 minus your age. The athlete suggested that one should run 80 per cent of the time at a zone two pace. This will have a positive impact on his health.
Robert further explained that the ability to run with a low heart rate tells if the particular individual is able to participate in long-distance runs without becoming exhausted. He further highlighted the importance of limiting sugar consumption and said, “People should limit sugar consumption.” He also advised wearing a glucose tracker and shared, “You should assume we are all pre-diabetic and understanding your glucose is a vital health metric.”
Another two tips that he shared were to consume supplements and have a cold shower in the morning. Robert revealed that he consumed Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMM) and resveratrol for supplement intake and took a cold shower in the morning. He believes, “It helps your cortisol spike upwards, meaning you don’t have to build it up during the day.”
