Thane: Minor girl raped at Ulhasnagar railway station premises | Thane News – Times of India
KALYAN: A 14-year-old girl was raped by a 35-year-old man at Ulhasnagar railway station premises on Friday night. The accused forcefully took the victim from Ulhasnagar skywalk to an isolated room at railway quarters, where he raped the girl. In victim has suffered minor injuries on her head also and is getting treatment at a hospital. On Saturday morning, the victim along with her relative first approached local Hill Line police station in Ulhasnagar but the police sent her to Vithalwadi police station over jurisdiction issue. From there also she was sent to Kalyan GRP. After she reached Kalyan GRP, cases of rape, assault and section related to protection of children from the offences of sexual assault (POCSO) Act were registered. The accused was arrested by Saturday evening. The arrested accused was identified as Shrikant Gaikwad alias Dada. He is a resident of Ulhasnagar and has several criminal cases registered against him.
