Taapsee Pannu is known for her diverse portrayal of strong female characters in her movies. And when it comes to fashion, she is often seen doing the same. In a recent interview the 34-year-old actress revealed her go-to fashion garment which is both comfy and stylish. Speaking to the Times of India, the Rashmi Rocket actress shared her take on fashion and trends.
Taapsee is not really an ardent follower of trends as they keep changing. She also mentioned that it is important to have one’s own unique style aesthetic. Taapsee revealed that the saree is her favourite garment. “Comfort is my main priority, and I usually prefer wearing layered looks, breezy silhouettes and cotton outfits. While I love wearing western wear, the Indian saree will always be my most favourite item of clothing,” she said.
Talking about trends, Tapsee said, “In my opinion it is very important for everyone to develop and nurture their own sense of style which showcases their personality and individuality in the best possible way, without being too dependent on trends.”
Tapsee added that although personal style tends to vary depending on the location she is at, the weather or even the movies she is working on, she usually likes to wear outfits that are a combination of comfort and chic.
Her love for the six yard draping fabric is quite evident from her Instagram posts. Case in point, this saree look worn by her is a perfect summer party wear. The actress donned the printed saree in light floral fabric and paired it with a strappy white printed blouse. To elevate her style quotient, Taapsee wore a statement choker and matching studs.
