Shiv Sena (Shinde) ‘neta’ takes ‘hafta’ from hawkers in Dombivli: MNS MLA | Thane News – Times of India

KALYAN: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) MLA Pramod (Raju) Patil on Thursday made a big disclosure that a prominent local Shiv Sena (Shinde) faction leader is behind the illegal hawkers outside Dombivli railway station.

Patil alleged that this prominent local leader from Dombivli city takes hafta from hawkers and in case if anti-Corruption Bureau inquiry is held, he can also give evidence about the same.
It may be recalled that last month, after beautification of foothpath, the beautiful portraits of many famous personalities with details from the city and country were put on the wall outside the station by the PWD Minister and BJP MLA Ravindra Chavan so that citizens can read about their contribution in society and country. But recently in front of these portraits, again illegal hawkers have encroached and are doing business illegally causing inconvenience to passerby.

The hawkers for last one month were not doing business outside station after MNS MLA Patil had raised voice against them and had warned Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation to stage aggressive protest if hawkers are not removed from spot.
On Thursday, Patil was inaugurating new party’s office in Dombivli during which he targeted Shiv Sena (Shinde) faction of party for again hawkers sitting and encroaching on road outside Dombivli station.
Patil said, “The ruling party who ruled for many years in KDMC are responsible for hawkers. I think by removing great people’s photos from roadside and photographs of leaders responsible for hawkers in the city with their details should be put there so that people can know who is responsible for the plight of the city”.
Patil further said, “A prominent leader of the Shiv Sena Shinde faction is behind the illegal hawkers in the city who take hafta from them. If ever the Anti Corruption Bureau investigates, I can even give them evidence”.
