Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are set to go on sale starting August 18, pre-booking deliveries to start early – Times of India

Samsung recently announced its fifth-generation foldable smartphones — Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5globally. Soon after that, the company commenced the pre-booking for both smartphones and according to the company, the handsets have received around 1 lakh pre-bookings. Now, Samsung has announced early deliveries for pre-booking customers.
Samsung confirms sale date for new foldables
Announcing pre delivery for pre-booking customers, Samsung has confirmed the sale date for Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 as August 18. That means, from the day onwards, interested buyers will be able to buy these handsets from online and offline channels. Also, the pre-booking offers won’t be applicable on the purchase.
Samsung to deliver its foldable early to pre-booking customers
For those who’ve pre-booked the new foldables will receive their phones early. Samsung has said that the deliveries of the phones will start from August 11 for pre-booking customers.
Galaxy Z Fold 5: Price and features
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display and there’s a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a peak brightness of 1750 nits for better visibility in bright conditions. The display also supports S Pen input.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 comes with Qualcomm’s latest chipset — Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB UFS 3.2 storage.
As usual, it has a total of 5 cameras — three at the back of the phone and two as the front camera on both displays. The primary display front camera is an under-display camera unit.
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 10MP 3x telephoto lens. The outer display front-facing camera is a 10MP sensor while the under-display unit is a 4MP sensor.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 runs the Android 13 operating system underneath the One UI 5.1.1 user interface.
The smartphone price starts at Rs 1,54,999.
Galaxy Z Flip5: Price and availability
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 features 3.5-inch Super AMOLED cover display with 60Hz refresh rate. The handset unfolds to reveal the 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is backed by a 3700mAh battery and it supports Super Fast charging which claims to deliver up to 50 per cent charge in under 30 minutes. The smartphone runs One UI 5.1 based on the Android 13 operating system.
