Realme GT5 with 240W fast charging launched in China: All details – Times of India



Chinese smartphone maker Realme has introduced its latest flagship model on its home turf. The Realme GT5 comes with a 144Hz OLED display and is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The company has shared a post on Weibo to announce the launch of the smartphone. Realme GT5 is already available for pre-order in China and is set to go on sale soon. The company unveiled the smartphone for the first time at MWC Barcelonawhich was held in February.Realme GT5’s key highlight is the 240W fast charging support. The smartphone also offers two fast-charging variants — 240W and 150W fast charging options.
Realme GT5: Price and availability
The 150W variant of Realme GT5 that packs 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 2999 yuan (nearly Rs 35,000). Meanwhile, the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version of the 150W variant comes with a price tag of 3299 yuan (nearly Rs 37,000).
On the other, the 240W variant has a single 24GB RAM and 1TB storage model that costs 3799 yuan (nearly Rs 43,000). All three models are available for pre-order in China and will go on sale on September 4. The smartphone will be available in two colour options — Flowing Silver Mirror and Star Mist Oasis.
Realme GT5: Key specs
Realme GT5 sports a 6.7-inch 144Hz 1.5K flat T7+ OLED screen which is supplied by Tianma. The screen supports a 2160Hz PWM dimming and up to 1400 nits of peak brightness along with narrow chin and side bezels.
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 24GB RAM and up to 1TB storage along with Whirlwind memory engine 2.0 support. This is also the first Realme phone to get Pixelworks’s IRX gaming experience certification.

Realme GT5 also features an independent X7 display chip. The company claims that the display chip will offer a 144 fps frame rate compatible with 110 mobile games. The smartphone also has an Ice core cooling system and graphite material for more efficient heat dissipation.
For optics, the smartphone houses a triple-rear camera setup that includes — a 50MP Sony IMX890 with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The smartphone also supports Wi-Fi 7.
The 240W fast-charging variant packs a 4600mAh variant and claims to fully charge the smartphone within nine minutes. Meanwhile, the 150W variant comes with a 5240mAh battery.
