PM Narendra Modi took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter to congratulate the Indian shooters.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the 10m Air Rifle Men’s Team and Indian rowers for winning medals for India in the Asian Games. The 10m Air Rifle Men’s team Rudrankksh Patil, Divyansh Panwar and Aishwary Pratap Tomar scripted history and won the gold medal for India. The Troika shot brilliantly to set a new world record of 1893.7 on their way to victory in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle Team competition.

“Our fantastic shooters from the 10m Air Rifle Men’s Team, Rudrankksh Patil, Divyansh Panwar, and Aishwary Pratap Tomar have won the gold in truly awe inspiring manner as they did so while shattering the world record,” he posted on X.

The Indian Prime Minister also posted a congratulatory message for the Indian rowers who clinched bronze medals.
The rowers won bronze medals in the Men’s Quadruples and the Men’s Coxless Four on Monday and concluded their campaign in Hangzhou with five medals in all — two silver and three bronze medals. In terms of numbers, it was an improvement on their performance in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia when they got three medals. However, the Indian rowers failed to get any gold in Hangzhou, which they had managed to do in Jakarta, five years back.

PM Modi lauded the Indian women’s team’s ‘grand show’ in China and congratulated them on their ‘great victory’.
“What a grand show by our cricket team as they clinch Women’s Cricket gold at the Asian Games. The country rejoices in their incredible achievement,” news agency PTI quoted PM Modi as saying.
“Our daughters are keeping the tricolour flying high in the sporting arena too with their talent, grit, skill and teamwork. Congratulations on your great victory,” he added.
