PM Modi Now on WhatsApp Channel; Here’s How You Can Join – News18

So far the prime minister posted a picture of him working in the new parliament building with a message for his followers

Days after the launch of WhatsApp’s new ‘Channels’ feature, Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the platform and started his own channel. He also shared the link to his channel and invited people to join him through the medium.

Taking to microblogging platform X, formerly called Twitter, PM Modi wrote, “Started my WhatsApp Channel today. Looking forward to remaining connected through this medium!”

So far the prime minister posted a picture of him working in the new parliament building with a message for his followers.

“Thrilled to join the WhatsApp community! It is yet another step closer in our journey of continued interactions. Let’s stay connected here! Here’s a picture from the new Parliament Building,” the message read.

For the unversed, the newly-launched feature of WhatsApp ‘Channels’ are a one-way broadcast tool for admins to send text, photos, videos, stickers, and polls.

Here’s How To Join PM Modi’s WhatsApp Channel

  1. Open WhatsApp on your Android or iOS phone.
  2. If not updated, go to the Play Store or App Store for the Updates tab.
  3. Click on the Find Channel option and search for “Narendra Modi.”
  4. You will see PM Modi’s channel which is available to follow.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a historic move, marched from the old parliament to the new parliament with the other parliamentarians including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and Piyush Goyal among others.

He urged all the Members of Parliament to reaffirm the commitment to make India a developed nation by 2047 and described the move to the new Parliament building as a new beginning towards a new future.

The prime minister also suggested that the old parliament building should be called “Samvidhan Sadan” from here on.

“We are shifting to the new Parliament building. It is an auspicious day, it is Ganesh Chaturthi,” he said, addressing a function held in the Central Hall to commemorate the rich legacy of the Parliament of India “My suggestion is that as we are going to the new building, the glory of this building should never decline. It should not be called just the old Parliament… It can be named Samvidhan Sadan,” Modi said.
