Nothing’s new sub-brand CMF is expected to launch a new pair of wireless earbuds and a new smartwatch on September 26. Here’s what we know so far.
London-based startup Nothing’s newly created sub-brand, CMF, is set to launch budget-centric products with a focus on design on September 26. While the brand hasn’t revealed specific details for the launch, it has previously hinted at introducing a budget smartwatch and a pair of truly wireless earbuds.
CEO Carl Pei has stated that CMF will offer products with improved design accessibility while sharing the “Common DNA” of Nothing.
CMF products will be available through Flipkart, Myntra, online retail outlets, and more. According to a report by 9to5Google, the initial product lineup will include a new 65W 3-port USB-C charger, noise-canceling earbuds called Buds Pro, and a smartwatch named Watch Pro.
TechLeaksZone on X (previously Twitter) has also leaked alleged pricing details, suggesting the CMF Watch Pro could cost Rs 4,500, the CMF Buds Pro could be priced at Rs 3,500, and the 65W charger could cost around Rs 3,000. These prices are based on rumors and may not be final. Further, the tipster claimed that the watch will feature a 1.96″ AMOLED panel with support for Bluetooth calling, while the earbuds will feature 45db ANC, Dynamic bass and 10mm drivers.
During the brand reveal, CEO Carl Pei mentioned that “CMF by Nothing will be more accessibly priced—so that more people can get access to our ecosystem.” This is because Nothing, as a brand, is slowly distancing itself away from being called a budget brand.
Nothing has previously launched ‘value flagships,’ like the Nothing Phone 2 and Nothing Phone 1, offering enthusiast-grade internals at a lower price than mainstream flagships. Carl Pei also emphasized that Nothing would differentiate itself by offering ‘Premium’ products.
More details about the sub-brand and its operations in India will become clear after the products launch on September 26 at 2:30 PM IST. Just for context, in Nothing’s current portfolio, it offers the Nothing Phone (2), Nothing Phone (1), Nothing Ear (Stick), the Nothing Ear (2) and a Power (45W) charger.
