Mumbai Special Trains: Central Railway to run 10 spl late-night trains on September 29 | Mumbai News – Times of India



MUMBAI: The Central Railway (CR) on Tuesday announced 10 late-night special trains during Ganpati immersions. The train will operate between CSMT-Kalyan/Thane/Belapur in the wee hours of September 29.The suburban special trains will stop at all stations. On the Main Line, the first special train will run on hte CSMT-Kalyan corridor at 1.40 am and arrive at Kalyan at 3.10 am.
On Harbour Line, the first special train will run on CSMT-Belapur corridor at 1.30 am and arrive at Belapur at 2.35 am. A Thane-bound train from CSMT will leave at 2.30 am and arrive at Thane at 3.30 am. tnn

The Mahalaya Ammavasya Special will depart from Madurai on October 10 and will cover various cities. The Western Railway will make changes to the train schedule on September 28 in Mumbai. Up fast local trains will stop at all stations between Mumbai Central and Churchgate in the evening, while slow Up trains will not halt at Charni Road during this time. Additionally, eight special local trains will run during midnight to accommodate the rush of people during the Visarjan day. These changes aim to reduce congestion at platforms.

Mumbai: Two coaches added to Ganpati special trains due to demand
The Indian Railways has decided to increase the number of coaches on two Ganpati special trains due to high demand during the festive season. The LTT-Kudal Express will now operate with 24 coaches instead of 22, while the LTT-Mangalore Express will also have 24 coaches instead of 22. The additional coaches include sleeper and general coaches. This move is aimed at accommodating the large number of commuters during the festive season.
