Mumbai: New Covid-19 cases drop below 500 once again | Mumbai News – Times of India


Mumbai has 4,654 active cases

MUMBAI: A day after the city saw 500 cases of coronavirus, the number of infections saw a dip once again in Mumbai.
On Thursday, 446 persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the city. With that, the total number of cases climbed to 7,36,770.
Two more persons succumbed to the virus in the metropolis in the past 24 hours. Both of them were over 60 years of age and had comorbidities.
The death toll now stands at 16,039.
On the other hand, the number of recoveries in Mumbai surged to 7,13,605 with 431 fresh discharges.
The city is now left with 4,654 active cases.
Mumbai’s recovery rate is pitched at 97 per cent and the doubling rate is 1,279 days.
The growth rate of Covid-19 cases in the city in the past one week is 0.06 per cent.
At present, the Maximum City has 39 sealed buildings, while the number of active containment zones stands at zero.
