KALYAN: In an act of utter inhumanity, a woman dumped a newborn baby boy outside a medical store in Kalyan (E).
The incident took place in the wee hours on Friday and it was captured in a CCTV installed at adjoining Vakratund medical shop.
In a video, a woman was seen walking along with a newborn baby wrapped in clothes to some shop. However, she left the spot leaving the baby behind.
Fortunately, around 5 am, some people from the area heard the screams of the baby and after noticing a child, they informed to local Manpada police. Soon, the cops rushed to the spot and took the child to civic-run Rukminibai hospital. The doctor said the child is healthy and he could be one or two days old.
The child was later shifted into Janani Ashish Centre.
The police said they have registered an FIR against the unknown person and further probe is on.
