Apple has not increased the prices of the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models
iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are being made in India and Apple has not increased the prices of these models but should you buy them from other countries?
The iPhone 15 models have started selling in India from Friday with hundreds of people queueing in front of the Apple Store to get their new iPhones. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be made in India as per reports, while people have already shown the boxes of these models which are assembled in India. Does that mean these iPhone 15 models will be available at a cheaper price in the country?
Not exactly, but what you get is the same price tags for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models which come at Rs 79,900 and Rs 89,900, respectively for the base variants.
We already know that the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max in India are the costliest among most countries and buying them from abroad saves you well over Rs 40,000. But does it make sense to buy the iPhone 15 or the 15 Plus from other countries, not really and we tell you why.
iPhone 15 and 15 Plus Price In India Compared to Other Countries
As we mentioned, the iPhone 15 starting price is Rs 79,900 while you have to pay Rs 89,900 for the base model of the iPhone 15 Plus. These are the prices that the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus were launched in 2022.
iPhone 15 and 15 Plus Prices In US
Compared to this, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have launched in the US at $799 (Rs 65,500 approx) and $899 (Rs 73,700 approx), respectively. When you put these prices against the iPhone 15 prices in India, the difference comes to around 16,000 but you also have a Rs 5,000 discount on eligible HDFC Bank cards in India, which brings down the final price further which means that buying the iPhone 15 or the iPhone 15 Plus in India rather than getting it from the US isn’t going to save you a lot of money.
iPhone 15 and 15 Plus Prices In Dubai
Now, if you are planning to buy the iPhone 15 or the iPhone 15 Plus from Dubai, you have to pay AED 3,399 (Rs 76,700 approx) and AED 3,799 (Rs 85,800 approx). Once again, the price comparison for the iPhone 15 models between India and Dubai is even lower than what you saved by buying from the US. In fact, you are only saving a maximum of Rs 3,000 on these models if bought from Dubai. And if you add the Rs 5,000 bank discount, the price difference is then in favour of buying from India.
iPhone 15 and 15 Plus Prices in Singapore
Finally, the price of the iPhone 15 in Singapore is S$1,299 (Rs 78,900 approx) and for the iPhone 15 Plus you spend S$ 1,449 (Rs 88,000 approx). This means that rather than spending money to ship from Singapore, you can easily the iPhone 15 or 15 Plus from India.
