For the first time ever, iPhone prices touch Rs 2 lakh in India – Times of India
Apple has launched the iPhone 15 series. As widely speculated, the company has launched iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The new iPhones bring in a range of new features. Some of them industry first — like first-ever 3 nanometer processor (A17 Pro); Titanium body and 4K 60 FPS Raw images and more. Along with these, there;s also a first in terms of pricing. For the first time ever, the iPhone price has touched almost Rs 2 lakh in India. Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max with 1 Terabyte storage is priced at Rs 1,99,900, which is just Rs 100 less than Rs 2 lakh. iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max price starts at Rs 1,59,900 and is available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities. The smaller Pro version, iPhone 15 Pro’s price starts at Rs 134900 and is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities. Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max features Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are the top-end versions of iPhone 15 series. The duo run on Apple’s latest-generation chipset A17 Pro, one of which is the Bionic branding. The A17 is Apple’s first built chip with the new 3-nanometer production process. The two entry-level iPhones, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, include an aluminum frame and frosted glass back in five colours including black, pink, green, blue and yellow. The higher-end models, meanwhile, come in black, gray, blue and white colours. For the Pro models, Apple has moved from a stainless steel frame to titanium, which is said to make the device lighter and more durable. Each model comes with either a 6.1-inch or 6.7-inch screen, and the pricier versions include borders around the display that are thinner than before. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max sport three cameras: the wide-angle and ultrawide-angle lenses, as well as a telephoto system for improved optical and digital zoom. Both models get new sensors across the camera array, though the iPhone 15 Pro Max adds a telephoto camera that can zoom in up to 5x. That nearly doubles the 3x zoom capability of the regular iPhone 15 Pro. Apple will start taking preorders for the latest iPhones on September 15 in more than 40 countries, including the US, India, China, UK and Canada. The new iPhones will go on sale a week later, which is September 22. Apple will also roll out the phone’s latest operating system, iOS 17, on September 18.
