Demolition Of Chheda Nagar Subway: Traffic Curbs Unveiled | Mumbai News – Times of India



MUMBAI: For demolition of the Chheda Nagar subway on the north-bound stretch, the Mumbai Traffic Police have announced restrictions for traffic movement. Police said the objective is to resolve vehicular congestion at Chheda Nagar subway area and barricading will be done for one-way traffic.
The road towards Chheda Nagar subway via Vidya Bhavan junction (traffic coming from Pestom Sagar Road, Vallabh Bagh lane, Pushpa Vihar Road, Kumar Ahuja Marg and Viraj Hotel, Nath Pai Lane coming to Chedda Nagar subway) will be completely closed for vehicles. The traffic police have urged people to take alterative routes. Traffic coming from Pestom Sagar at Chembur via Vidyabhavan Junction shall use Hotel Pushpa Vihar Junction Shanti Path route – Sudha Park Road – Railway Quarters Road- Samta Colony Road- Railway Police Petrol Pump- further to Thane use Ghatkopar Bridge and Ramabai Nagar – Kamraj Nagar – take a right turn under Ghatkopar bridge to reach Chheda Nagar junction and proceed on Eastern Express Highway.
Traffic from Vallabh Baug lane, Hotel Pushpa Vihar, Kumar Ahuja Marg and Viraj Hotel, Nath pai lane to take a left turn and use Sudha Park Road- Railway Quarters Road- Samta Colony Road – Railway Police Petrol Pump- further to Thane use Ghatkopar Bridge and Ramabai Nagar – Kamraj Nagar- take a right turn under Ghatkopar bridge to reach Chheda Nagar junction and proceed on Eastern Express Highway. Traffic from Mata Ramabai Nagar, Kamraj Nagar to Chheda Nagar subway shall go straight towards Chheda Nagar junction,take a u-turn and proceed towards Ghatkopar East.

Mukherjee Nagar PG fire: Owner held
The owner and operator of a girls’ PG accommodation in Delhi have been arrested following a fire incident. The owner had rented the building to the operator, and both were questioned about the safety lapses found in the building. The police suspect that an overloaded electric meter caused the fire, which quickly spread due to the presence of combustible materials and the lack of fire safety arrangements. This incident occurred close to a previous fire incident that happened earlier this year.
