Covid-19: Mumbai reports 434 new cases, 3 deaths | Mumbai News – Times of India


MUMBAI: Mumbai on Friday reported 434 new cases of coronavirus. With that, the overall case tally has now climbed to 7,37,164.
Also, the death toll has now mounted to 16,042 with three persons succumbing to the virus in the day.
The number of daily recoveries in the Maximum City has seen a drop as compared to the previous day. On Friday, 387 persons got cured of Covid-19, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
With a recovery rate of 97 per cent, Mumbai has so far recorded 7,13,992 discharges.
The city is now left with 4,658 active cases.
The overall growth rate of Covid-19 cases from September 10 to September is 0.06 per cent, while the doubling rate is 1,289 days.
The number of sealed buildings in the BMC limits is now pitched at 38, whereas there are no active containment zones (slums and chawls) in the city.
