BJP To Fight MP, Chhattisgarh And Rajasthan Elections On PM Modis Face

New Delhi: Sources tell Zee News that the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) will fight the upcoming Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan assembly elections on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s face. Sources said that even though MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has a strong hold in the state, the party has decided to go on the polls with PM Modi’s face. The battle for power in three states of India is heating up as the assembly elections are around the corner. The Congress and the BJP are trying to woo the voters with various attractive offers and schemes.

In Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced a slew of freebies, such as free mobiles, ration kits and power, hoping to break the cycle of alternating governments and retain his seat. But the BJP is not giving up easily. It is challenging the Congress on the issues of high fuel prices, poor law and order and power crisis in the state.

In Madhya Pradesh, both the parties are competing with each other in offering cash incentives to the voters, especially women. The Congress has promised to give Rs 1,500 monthly to women, along with cheap LPG cylinders, old pension scheme, subsidised electricity and farm loan waiver. The BJP has countered this with its Ladli Behna Yojana, which gives Rs 1,000 monthly to women, along with cheaper LPG cylinders and electricity. The BJP has also increased the amount to Rs 1,250 recently.

In Chhattisgarh, the Congress is focusing on the issue of inflation and trying to corner the BJP on this front. The Congress has also launched some schemes to ease the burden of inflation on the people. The BJP, on the other hand, is accusing the Congress of corruption and unfulfilled promises. The BJP claims that the Congress has failed to deliver on its promise of reducing electricity bills and has indulged in various scams.

While the BJP is attacking the Congress at both the state and national levels, the Congress is also preparing for both the assembly and Lok Sabha elections. The Congress is holding a series of meetings to devise its strategy and strengthen its position. The Congress is also criticising the Central government for its handling of inflation.
