The store owner Steve told The Telegraph, that they have now put up a sign that reads, “She’s back!!! Sold twice and returned twice! Are you brave enough?” In an interview with DailyMail, the store owner expressed a desire to get rid of the picture, describing it as having an ‘aura.’ This led to a new business idea: displaying the picture with a terrifying caption that reads, “Possibly cursed.”
The marketing move began working immediately. A woman purchased the picture, stating that she never wanted to see it again. However, the picture was returned to the store once more. This time, the caption was changed to “She’s back!!! Sold twice and returned twice! Are you brave enough?”
The second customer came back to the shop and repurchased the painting, stating that she was no longer scared and could tolerate it. None of the previous owners requested a refund. The store initially priced it at £25 and later reduced it to £20, labelling it as “cursed.”
One user humorously commented, “This is me… reopening my profile,” while another wrote, “I am not brave enough. I ain’t be taken by Polly Portrait Poltergeist!”
