‘Action over complaints’ only factor to determine candidacy in upcoming Lok Sabha polls, says MP Shrikant Shinde | Thane News – Times of India
KALYAN: During a program in Dombivli, Lok Sabha MP Dr Shrikant Shinde indirectly criticized MNS MLA Pramod (Raju Patil), emphasizing the importance of meaningful action over mere complaints. Shinde stressed that the public elects representatives based on their work, and those who fail to deliver may find themselves facing the consequences of becoming former MLAs. On Tuesday, MP Shrikant Shinde was honored by around 2000 residents of the Khoni Shirdhon Mhada Residents Association at Patidar Hall. He was recognized for his assistance in helping them secure flats under the MHADA scheme. It’s worth noting that MLA Pramod Patil, representing Kalyan Gramin Assembly from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena party, has frequently targeted Shrikant Shinde over civic issues in the Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency. During Patil’s recent birthday celebration, his supporters presented a cake with the message predicting him as a future Member of Parliament from Kalyan Lok Sabha. During the program, Shinde subtly alluded to those who have not accomplished much in the past four years but are now aspiring for higher positions. He cautioned that while dreaming big is acceptable, it must be grounded in concrete actions. Shinde quipped that those who have failed to achieve anything in their current role should be cautious not to become “Ex” before their term ends. Shinde also emphasized the importance of tangible accomplishments as reflected in an election report card. He noted that candidates must demonstrate their developmental work to the public during elections. Those lacking in accomplishments should be aware that voters assign both positive and negative marks based on their performance. On Tuesday, Shinde sought to dispel speculation about who would contest the next Lok Sabha elections from Kalyan. He stated firmly that he intends to contest the next Lok Sabha elections from Kalyan, considering the constituency as his family. Shrikant Shinde expressed confidence that, based on his track record of work, he would secure an even larger victory margin in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, building on his past successes.
